Phillies@Astros

Game 1: This game was very much like opening day. The offense went to work. Jimmy Rollins and Placido Polanco get on base while the guys behind them drive them in. J.A. Happ pitched 5 scoreless innings and had plenty of offense to earn himself the win. The man of the night was Raul Ibanez. Everyone was questioning him because of his poor spring training and his his slow start. He went 3-4 with 3 RBIs, 1 walk, and no strikeouts. It's always too early to write someone off. Raul had an MVP-like first half last year (led to an All-star appearance) and got hurt in the second half. There's no reason to believe he can't get to that or at least a semblance of that. No need to panic...yet. Phils 8-0

Game 2: The 45th anniversary of the opening of the Astrodome and both teams went retro. Hey, the groundskeepers did too! Jamie just happen to pitch on both nights. The Phillies got off to a quick 4-0 start. Looked like they were going to cruise until Jamie Moyer imploded in the third. After two outs and the pitcher at the plate, he gave up a double, homerun, walk, homerun, single, single, single, single and then finally a groundout to end that excruciating inning. The Phils started the 3rd inning with a four run lead and ended it with a 1-run deficit. As they normally do, the Phillies would come back to take the lead on the strength of a monstrous 2-run homerun by Ryan Howard. They would add 1 more in that same inning (7th) and finished off the scoring with a Shane Victorino 2-run homerun in the 9th. Ryan Madson closed out the game despite allowing 1 run in the bottom of the ninth. Phils 9-6

Game 3: Halladay(W, 2-0): 9.0 innings pitched, 7 hits, 1 UNearned run, 0 walks, 8 strikeouts, 0 homeruns
Jimmy Rollins: 2-4, 1 run, 1 homerun, 1 RBI.
Chooch: 0-3, 1 RBI.
Phils 2-1
