"The Phillies celebrate PERFECTION tonight in Miami" -Scott Franzke

I mean it was awesome. REWIND>>>>>> Whenever Roy Halladay starts for the Phillies, it’s a must-see. He’s a show all on his own and on this Saturday, he was everything that was expected when he was acquired in December. The game started out innocently enough. The offense didn’t score in the 1st inning and Roy Halladay had to throw 19 pitches in the bottom of the first to get out unscathed. He gave up no hits and did strikeout the first 2 batters. The Phillies scored 1 unearned run in the 3rd on a 3-base error by Maybin. I don’t want to spoil it but that’s all Roy Halladay would need.

He had 9 1-2-3 innings. He had 7 3-ball counts but he never wavered. He had 11 strikeouts, 6 looking and 5 swinging. He looked mechanical and especially focused. I mean 27 guys up and 27 down. It’s unreal to think about, because so many things can happen and everything just went right. It feels special to be able to say I watched Halladay’s perfect game, because I may never see one again. I saw every out and again it was AWESOME. He was stoic all night and as soon as the last out was recorded, he broke a huge smile that was nice to see.

That was an epic game. Good recap.

It was like the Marlins knew they couldn't win after that one unearned run.
